I wonder why it’s considered ok for us to eat food with *any* pesticide remaining on it or in it— let alone 12. The same govt that allows it also says pesticides cause cancer, brain damage, etc. #andweactlikeitsnormalhttps://twitter.com/ConsumerReports/status/1050234535651287040 …

Rinsing, rubbing, or scrubbing fruits and veggies at home were once thought to be the best ways to remove pesticides. Now a new study suggests another method that may also be effective. https://www.consumerreports.org/pesticides-herbicides/easy-way-to-remove-pesticides/ …

Most people are eating these and not washing them. Disgusting. I soak my organic fruit and vegetables in “food grade” hydrogen peroxide..comes 17%, dilute down to 3. You can find it at a natural pharmacy. Works all around the house and in and out of the body.

Did you ever look at the amount of products that use corn? Did you ever see how many chemicals are added to corn and sprayed on them to grow? Just watching the farmers around me I have seen its a lot.

It is about managing risk. There is literally no way that we could produce enough food organically to feed the world. Pesticides increase yields at a level where the risk is considered acceptable. Government allows it is because they don't want mass famine and starvation.

Proper pesticide use is extremely important as well. The ill effects of pesticides can often be a result of not following the label and using it as intended.

The FDA's research on pesticides and their safety is amazing. If you've never looked at the tolerances and the amount of research done before a pesticide can be used on the market, I highly recommend it: https://www.fda.gov/food/foodborneillnesscontaminants/pesticides/ucm583711.htm …
