I usually learn little-to-nothing from dueling political advocates invited (& even paid) to give talking points on TV. We (media) risk becoming a vehicle for propaganda. What do you think? Poll below: "I enjoy hearing talking points, they teach me a lot."

I selected "I disagree" because "I vehemently reject this notion" was not available. Hearing two opposing advocates shout "Let me finish!" at each other is not news, it's not even information. It's just noise.

And affiliations. Another problem is they may have a D and a R but they are both anti-@realDonaldTrump so not necessarily "fair" even from a talking points standpoint.

There is a thirst for a believable #News outlet. What does that look like? Where do you suggest @SharylAttkisson ?

Of course every Sunday @FullMeasureNews and replays anytime at http://www.fullmeasure.news  But I agree there is a market for an news outlet that is closer to what CNN was when I worked there in 1990-93.

I checked "Agree" not because I learn anything of genuine value. I typically learn that the political advocates are FOS. Then again, I prolly should have known that! #TautologyOfPolitics

I discovered the solution long ago. It is called the Off Switch. I don't watch TV until someone I know suggests I might like a specific program on TV.

Long form discussions like Dave Rubin has or Joe Rogan teach me more about issue than the 3 minute gotcha discussion news shows have. They don’t allow for ideas to be fully presented without being shot down by partisan talking points on both sides.

Foolish decisions come from ignoring the enemy. For example, I do tune in and listen to the other side so that At least I have a fair and balanced argument, rebuttal etc. Nothing is fixed with a wall between ideologies! VOTE RED!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Talking Heads yelling with constant interruptions are irritating, not informative. I prefer podcasts where you get hours of conversation with all kinds of different people.

As a news and political junky for many decades, I have long found no value in having D or R "analysts" give their "analysis". The are neither an analyst nor analyzing. There are some exceptions such as Doug Schoen or Ed Rollins.
