1/This is the root of America’s deepest problem. It robs others of their experience & it ignores history. The idea that “we are fine” and rabble rousers are stirring it up. We are not fine. @SharylAttkisson you're an investigative journalist let’s investigate your theory.https://twitter.com/SharylAttkisson/status/1033868041224900608 …

That comment wasn't racist. Your first tweet implies that racism doesn't exist because people outside of cities are getting along (allegedly), how can you judge that as a white woman so not the target of racists?
-
My tweet said nothing of the sort. You are free to infer what you like but it doesn't make it true. (How can you judge me based on my race? Isn't that what you object to? I sure do.)
-
I'm white too, that's why I know why we are not being marginalized for being white and implying that racism is an artificial reality means you're not listening to POC and ignoring their experiences.
-
Whatever your color, people shouldn't be judged as a race. That's inappropriate, in my opinion.
-
I simply told you, you aren't the target of racists so can't judge whether racism is real or not. Also, when people talk about White America they mean the oppressive system that was build to cater to white people and oppress those who aren't, it doesn't judge you as an individual
-
1. You don't know me. 2. You're apparently judging me based solely on my race.
-
No, I'm telling you that white people don't face racism, so we shouldn't tell those who experience it that it's not real.
-
I don't think it's a good idea to make sweeping generalizations about people because of their race or skin color.

It’s not racist to say white people are not great at talking about racism. Doubt you care tho since you’re wielding silencing techniques on this gentleman bc you feel happier living in a world where racism only exists in PoC folks’ imaginations but go off I guess
-
When you make such sweeping generalities that include "white people..." or any race/group-- well, uh.
-
This doesn’t hold water. Saying “I’m statistically more likely to be sexually assaulted by a man” doesn’t make me a misandrist. Here’s a super brief article on the differences between racism & prejudice, which is what I suspect you’re conflating:https://www.elitedaily.com/life/racism-prejudice-understanding/1363914 …
-
Maybe you are ok with making sweeping generalities about people based on race. I'm not. But it's a free country so you are entitled if you wish.
-
I’m ok w you glossing over my entire argument. What’s sad is you think you not generalizing aids the world but when PoC say “let’s address racism” you stick your fingers in your ears &go “la la la I’m not LISTENING!” This only hurts folks but keep Miss Millie-ing on if you like
-
Nonetheless you have been fairly civil and that's appreciated!

Sharyl, Al is one of the few folks making real earnest attempts at dialogue. I think when you spend some time hearing his interviews you'll see that
-
Well send me a link!
-
Are you an adult that can use a computer? Then let me introduce you to Google! Stop asking for others to do your homework, your white fragility can do the bare minimum, right?
-
That is another racial comment; not appropriate.
-
Neither is systemic racism in our country. Guess you’ll just have to be a big girl and handle your WHITE FRAGILITY, Sharon
-
If you say so, Jan. (The all caps makes it very convincing!)
-
No convincing needed when your racism and laziness is on full display. How do you call yourself “investigative” when you refuse to do it? No need to answer, it’s in my first sentence.
