I think there can be a difference between actual fact checker that are not aligned politically and censorship. If there was a real regulatory system or oversight purely for fact checking I think it can benefit all.

In my opinion there is on way to purely fact check. The fact checkers always prove to be conflicted to some degree. Best to let people figure things out for themselves than insert a forced third party into the process.
-
Thats the issue When people are left to their own devices 2016 happens. People cannot be trusted to come up with their own opinions not bec they arent capable of it but bec of the amount of misinformation. There are stories I literally have to research for hrs to find the truth
-
True in some ways but I disagree that people can't be trusted to come up with their own opinions and therefore some third party should appoint itself to do it for them...
-
1) I think if the public had a centralized (I know, the irony of a crypto person voicing for a centralized system) governance then people would be able to come up with opinions that are based on facts and not David Brock propaganda. I know certain blockchains trying to accomplish
-
It works in some instances. But in some cases, such as tobacco and smoking over the decades, the "facts" and "science" would be determined to be one way and the alternative info that turned out to be true would be blocked as "discredited."

odd that you're more interested in who is 'pushing and funding' media literary efforts and fact checking, but you show now interest in finding out who is pushing promoting and paying for the propaganda and disinformation plaguing our land...hmmmm wonder why
-
Hmmm I wrote a whole book on that. But ok!
-
2. and ignored atwater, rove, the rise of the alt-conservative media bubble, the birther conspiracy idiots etc. just be honest, that book is basically a part of the misinformation campaign that undermines ability of an informed citizenry being able to perform their civic duties
-
(The birther discussion is also in the book. As is Rove.) But ok! LOL

You make an intelligent and reasoned case. I'll have to give it due consideration.

I loved it. Listened to it getting ready for a 5K. I like the fact that you read it yourself.
