The premise that the common man doesn't have enough common sense to run his own life or contribute to society as an informed citizen is common among all totalitarians, including today's #NewTotalitarians.

I noticed that early in life when the Government decided to tell me what type of gas can was acceptable to use (I was too stupid not to pour gas all over everything) and the 100w incandescent light bulb was not an option. Government knows best.

*Sarcasm,right?

Yea... you got me. I was pissed about gas cans so I bought a bunch of older ones at flea markets and garage sales. Bulbs improved and I use LED everywhere even in my shop.

Best way to discredit an uncomfortable fact is to make a strawman version of it and call that a conspiracy theory. Really nice chilling effect.

Using Wikipedia editors to curate in order to avoid conspiracies is like using a jackhammer in order to avoid shaking. They'll just make sure the only conspiracy theories remaining public are hard-left-leaning. You know, like it was back in the 70s when news was MSM-only.

George Orwell had something to say about how information could be controlled. Everyone should read "1984".
