    A few yrs ago a young kid in the newsroom always talked about ppl who "Drank the Kool-Aid." It made me curious & I asked him if he knew where that phrase came from. And he said "yeah, it's from treating someone like a kid drinking Kool Aid."

        My dad also used it and I thought it was a dirty saying but it actually isn’t. On old ships they stacked cannon balls on a brass thing like a pool table triangle to keep them from rolling around and when it got real cold the brass shrunk and the balls fell off.
