"Why" is as irrelevant as the popular vote. The FBI doesn't get to select a POTUS. A handful of demented extremists on either side don't get to select a POTUS. We the People of this constitutional republic select the POTUS via a long-established process. Respect it.

Only if you have no understanding at all as to how and why the Framers set up a system to let the *nation* choose a POTUS, and not a few cloistered areas that are unrepresentative of the whole. It's called a constitutional republic Look into it. BTW, it's not changing.
