I agree our policies promote this. Why aren't we conducting DNA tests to verify maternity/paternity since so many lie about claiming to be parents? Why don't we sanction countries for allowing kids to travel on top of trains or through deserts? They do the separating and abusing.

Not to sound negative but even DNA tests are not the answer because there have been cases of children released to "sponsors" or actual relatives already in US who were sexual abusers in their home country and/or ended up abusing them here.

This is what I want to see happen.https://mobile.twitter.com/charliekirk11/status/1009811914589863936 …

That's happened. That's part of the difficulty.

DNA testing. If I can spit into a bottle and get results in 2 weeks..............
-
until some activist lawyer finds out immigrants are being forced to give DNA without a court order...
-
Point taken. Which is why I've become a hawk on zero tolerance. Invertedly we're just supporting this human trafficking network. This has to stop. It's morally bankrupt.

Protecting kids from trafficking was part of the reasons for these laws resulting in so-called
#FamilySeparation. The ultimate solution is to truly#SecureTheBorderThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

How is it supported? It should be clear. No documents authorizing entrance, NO ENTRANCE! WHAT'S DONE AT AIRPORTS? In order for travelers to enter another country they must present a passport out of their country. The document is then checked when they enter other countries.

Mr Raymond you are literally *the only person* I have tweeting anything about this! thank you for mentioning what I call the "Elian Gonzalez" effect: I am sure lots of the parents (as high as 25% I would estimate) are in this position, their kids basically kidnapped TWICE now.
-
And it seems like most people who oppose Trump want open borders. That, IMO, is not beneficial to the safety and wellbeing of our country longterm. In a perfect world, we screen everyone wanting to come in regardless of origin. That isn't racist; it's common sense.
-
I know, I wanna retweet my friend up in Portland where they are occupying ICE, but every single sign says "open borders! open borders"--which is what the GOP has been saying the agenda is ALL ALONG. argh, bad propaganda! and its NOT my agenda yeah we are on the same page.
-
The solution, IMO, had always been "Immigration is fine, but legal, streamlined immigration is key." ICE has even detained people from as far as the Middle East crossing over the Mexico border. Open borders is NOT the solution.
-
(And I'm truly blessed we could have a rational discussion about this!)
-
.. and check out that answer. "everybody needs jobs" well yeah but aren't we allowed to say USA should be about providing the Americans with jobs first? It was implied that I was awful and racist for thinking this... and btw, that is common on the Left.
-
Oh believe me. I'm a Dem and I've been called a lot of stuff for my views lately. I'm sick of the "If you think this, you are a bigot" mentality. It's as if the art of discussion is lost on people.

I'm not so sure it's inadvertent. Many laws seem to be intentionally stacked to benefit a small group of elitists.

The media focuses on one emotional aspect of the situation (separating kids from parents) and doesn't choose to consider all other aspects of the dangers of illegal immigration. Kidnapping and sex trafficking are abhorrent and evil!
