There is almost no way to prove intent. I've noticed the term "smoking gun" used a lot lately. But a lot of people are in jail right now based on circumstantial evidence. The difference is, people cannot discern when it comes to political motives.

Right. But actually they could draw conclusions based on the evidence. In most crimes there is seldom a written confession that lays all out.
-
It's absurd. Hillary obviously broke laws but they claim they cannot prosecute her because she didn't "mean to." We all know that ignorance of the law is no excuse. They're creating a separate burden of proof for the "elite."

The more important question IMO, is why did all of these folks go to these lengths to avoid public records laws? What are they hiding?
-
And who was pulling THEIR strings? I refuse to believe this was just a few eager agents that went too far out of some idealistic self-righteousness. After learning of plants in campaign as well that tells me this goes deep. Throw the book at them!

No one is going to jail. Which is sad. I hope they lose their job.

I totally agree with that! It's like a takeoff on Comey's "intent" excuse that he basically made up to "exonerate" Clinton. The issue is not whether you "intend" to jeopardize national security but whether you broke the law. The "bias" nit-picking is a clever distraction.

Sharyl, as
@DevinNunes pointed out CLEARLY on@FoxNews@MariaBartiromo Sunday show: "There is a difference between 'no bias' (what the media keeps twisting, spinning) and what the IG Report actually says 'UNPROVEN bias'" As we know they are DELIBERATELY spinning SEMANTICS.Thanks. If the perps aren't appropriately punished the people's faith in government will take another major hit, especially if it happens under a Republican Admin and Congress.

My hope is that with reports, congress can convene gra nd jury and indite those offenders. Pretty sure Americans are pissed off enough on both sides and in between.

Excellent point - get down to it - were there punishable ethical and policy violations Here's one item that was glossed over Horowitz says that, "Grand Jury" materials had to be cleared for release to use in his report. **That suggests Huber does have a Grand Jury empaneled**

According to a source I very my trust, the conclusion of the IG report was not written by Michael Horowitz or the staff of 400 who wrote the report. It was written my senior justice department officials and FBI, particularly Rod Rosenstein.

Exactly. Bias is not criminal intent where it is needed. But bias can develop into criminal intent. See March text of page and ongoing discussion as Peter faced September and October situation in New York.
