Peter Strzok held back Weiner's laptop for months, everyone & their gardener got immunity. Only person prosecuted, Weiner & not for having Hillary's emails on his laptop. No video of her interview, report was in the bag before most of the people were interviewed

I'm afraid those days of professional legal ethics are gone in America. The 'line' has now become do whatever you can get away with, even if it is illegal, and just be sure you don't get caught.

And that appearance of fairness is even more critical in such a highly-charged matter implicating a pres election. The DOJ, FBI, and SCO have thoroughly destroyed, by their actions, that fundamental aspect of their legitimacy on this case. They will not get it back.

Same in J-schools, Ethics 101: The appearance of a conflict of interest is as bad as an actual conflict of interest for its adverse effect on credibility. And what's what the IG claim that "journalists" were showering FBI agents with tickets, gifts, invites, etc.? That's bad too.

Apparently Nast is unaware of the rule of ethics that bars even the appearance of impropriety.

A perfect example of this is the decision to spy into Trump’s campaign rather than to give Trump a “defensive briefing” that the govt was suspicious of Carter Page. This was a highly questionable decision, and Strzok was right in the middle of it.

That is how it HAS to work in any Republic that follows the rule of law and the constitution. If the public looses faith in the fair and impartial application of the law you go from a civilized, constitutional republic to a banana republic in fairly short order.

I can’t imagine as a juror trusting the testimony of an FBI agent without being circumspect of possible bias. This would not have been my view 5 years ago.

Let's see...Strzok is still employed at the FBI...anywhere else in corporate America, this guy would be done for that kind of gross negligence!
