Saying "vaccines save billions of lives" while trying to shut down discussion of adverse events and possible improvements is silly and propagandistic. Medicine "saves billions of lives" but not all medicine is safe for all people. It's just a fact.https://twitter.com/rdeh20/status/1006745155238551552 …

Yeah, and everything can be improved upon, constantly. But we don't wait around for some unknown mythical time in the future where there are no more improvements to be made. Such a time doesn't exist. But as it stands now, the benefits of vaccines far outweigh the risks.

Which vaccine? Oral polio? The government disagrees. HepB? Maybe not at birth for all babies. HPV? Definitely not for some. Maybe when proven in the future--yes but we won't know its effectiveness until first study group reaches ovarian cancer age according to the lead researcher
-
I don't know who that lead researcher is, but they don't need to wait until ovarian cancer age, because the vaccine protects against against the virus itself, and they can and do test for that virus, and the abnormalities it causes.
-
Are you confusing cervical and ovarian cancer? The HPV vaccine is to prevent cervical cancer (which is generally caused by HPV, but not always). The cause of ovarian cancer is unknown.
-
Sorry, yes....I was quoting what Sharyl said. She confused me. At any rate, the vaccine protects against the virus, and not the cancer directly (which is impossible)
