Yes, but unfortunately you're not going to know you're allergic to penicillin until the first time you're exposed to it. There are people allergic to peanuts too, but there's no campaign against them. Simply put, nothing on the planet is ever going to be 100% safe.

That's the point though--they do have ways to know in advance. That's what the former head of NIH Dr. Bernadine Healy was advocating. She and others explained that today we have the technology to identify the susceptible kids in advance. Why wouldn't we?
-
Well from what I understand, if they can detect certain allergies they do. I'm not entirely sure who said that wasn't a thing?
-
Not just allergies. Mitochondrial disorder. Tubular Sclerosis. Other things we could test for and then address while still vaccinating the majority the normal way.

True. I don't respond well to prescription medications and find natural works better. I broke my back a year ago and found turmeric was more effective against pain than OxyContin was. We all have a chemical makeup that we need to know how it responds to various elements.

That makes sense. It's so obvious that pharma runs things not Hippocrates our doctor's oath. Patent's only to treat disease? THAT'S STUPIDITY+very expensive w many side-effects. 1 BILLION DOLLARS OR SO 2 PRODUCE 1 DRUG PATENT? We are 21 Trillion dollars in debt.

Everyone is sensitive to medications. That's why they work. Problem is some are more sensitive than others and some are less. People metabolize differently etc. There's a whole slew of reasons why the one size fits most is not the safe approach.

*Really* smart people are their own doctors. They also know far more of the hidden dangers we are exposed to daily. Now one must protect oneself from cell tower radiation, big pharm's endless toxin list, solar uv, airborne pollutants, etc. The future will demand people..(1/3)

Not a good comparison. Sorry. And one not taking a med they are allergic to does not potentially affect others.
