Billions saved compared to a few (thousad?) adversely affected...gotta go with the billion saved
-
-
-
#1 We don't have the numbers of adversely affected. #2 It doesn't make sense to group all vaccines together; each has a different risk/benefit profile.
-
I hear ya... but tough to be a parent and decide which one to give...?
-
Very tough. I blame the govt./Pharma for covering up/controversializing rather than addressing the issue to build public confidence and make vaccines as safe as possible. As a result, some people simply don't vaccinate. that's govt's fault.
-
I think non vaccination crowd has different reasons and mbut the G/pharma complex knows the % is on their side if anything goes wrong

The problem is that reporters are awful at providing context. They'll focus on the handful that might have issues while ignoring or downplaying the billions who have been helped.
-
No don't worry about that; the pharma/govt complex has successfully eliminated discussion of vaccine adverse events on the news. Except to the extent it's propaganda to say there's no problem.
-
Oh comeon . The anti-vaxxers are all over the place. The press has done an abysmal job on this issue.
-
Nope. If you find me a half dozen articles in the past 5 years in so-called mainstream national press that give credence to the side effects, I will pay you a dollar. Heck, find one. We *were* covering the topic until we were effectively stopped when media/pharma partnered (cont)

And you're refuting that person's concerns how? Even the folks who are supporting you list ways to get Hep B that doesn't involve sex.https://twitter.com/ihavenolid/status/1006742823113117696?s=21 …
-
Scientists believe the risk of HepB vaccine side effects in newborns is greater than benefit to them. Very rarely, in an individual case, the HepB might make sense at birth based on easily identifiable risk factors. But not for most, according to the medical scientists I trust.
-
I know I'm sounding like a tunnel-visioned nut here. Babies could get Hep B frm their mothers during her pregnancy, as I recall, but by then they'd need a cure not a vaccine; Needles could still pose a threat tho. I just don't want your perfectly valid concerns to fall apart…(1)
-
No you're correct. As long as the newborn isn't isn't having sex or otherwise exchanging body fluids with an infected person, he isn't at risk of HepB, according to scientists. Most babies are not having sex or exposed to body fluids of infected.
-
I received the vaccine as a precaution as a healthcare worker drawing and testing blood decades ago. No one asked me if my titer was positive due to vax, so gave my newborn the vaccine without asking or telling me. They still don't ask about risk factors, just give it routinely.
-
We've so much educating to do. Posts like yours help. I rec'd HepB as adult preparing to travel abroad which set off 20 yrs of health issues. Not ONE f'g med professionl asked if I'd been vacc. MDs are NOT taught abt vacc injury-what to look for-MOST don't use VAERS to report.
-
That vaccine set off decades of chronic health issues for me. Pretty much immediately following injections.
-
I'm sorry. Some of my sx showed up immediately and some slowly emerged over time, which made it even more impossible to determine cause. I am nowhere near as injured as many people, though. Most have no idea and con't to vaccinate.

Except that no medicine can ever be 100% safe. In fact nothing can be, yet we still have to go about our day and take the most practical and safe options we can. When the choice is between vaccination and the possibility of serious disease, vaccination wins every time.

My RN Mom got Hep B vax per Hosp, she accidentally stuck herself w/patient needle got Hep B, it destroyed her Liver, she died. Great vax huh
-
Thank you
The hardest part was I wasn't accepted as a Liver donor & I was the best match, she died waiting on the transplant list.
