Serious question: if @TheJusticeDept Inspector General refers criminal charges to @TheJusticeDept about people who work at, or worked at @TheJusticeDept and/or have good friends and colleagues there--where does that leave things? #BackToSquareOne

Lots of Twitter sleuths have theorized there are already grand juries in-place (who have been working on referred matters for quite some time). They make it sound very believable...

Perhaps. And yet the grand juries are presented to by-- @TheJusticeDept which is populated by friends and colleagues of those being investigated. So... (?)

DOJ either wants to hold certain people to account or they don't. At the end of the day, it seems they'll hold a select amount to account. McCabe likely the biggest get.

We should not have to wait much longer to see this play out. Good luck with your case. Hope you get a win and some redmeption one day. You are a great reporter and person who was and still is treated unfairly.

Nobody. They police themselves. I don't think we've had a case like this before that poses such big questions about conflicts of interest in the agency that would prosecute conflicts of interest etc.

This is why Congress must continue to demand they turn over requested documents. They have proper oversight authority.

Sheryl. Horowitz worked with Reno to clear Clinton/Gore on campaign finance charges. Worked as Comey's #2 in NY. Defended Bill Clinton in OIG invesigation with Paula Jones. Cleared Eric Holder of all wrongdoing in fast and furious. He's 100% swamp.

The ‘wild card’ you fail to mention, who is the “decider” in these matters in AG Sessions. Say what you will, but behind the scenes, under the radar and leakproof, the AG is chomping at the bit for the IG report. Then the fun starts.

He appointed Huber and it didn't leak. They just indicted a former Senate aide for leaking, and there was no leaks or warnings leading up to it. I get the feeling Sessions doesn't tolerate leaking and so whatever he's working on, we just have to wait for press releases.
