Widespread loss of lake ice predicted for Northern Hemisphere in a warming world: 35,000-230,000 lakes may no longer freeze every year impacting up to 394-656 million people who will lose access to frozen lakes. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41558-018-0393-5 …pic.twitter.com/fxLCyjQ5zx

Loss of lake ice may decrease availability of freshwater, degrade water quality, reduce recreation opportunities, such as ice fishing, skating, winter festivals, and access to winter ice roads

Why did you say "may" no longer freeze every year" Let me see you say, Will no longer freeze. By saying may, that covers your butt that the paper may be wrong and the foundation of cards it is based off is utter garbage.

2014 was a hot year in the north of Sweden. However, some monthly mean records for July remain from 1901, 1925, 1927 and 1941. And we are still skiing at midsummer up there. http://bit.ly/2FMajUP

Nice work @Sharmalab et al.! Great to see this @GLEONetwork collaboration come to fruition, but I must admit that I am shocked to see the results.

When you see timbers become exposed by melting glaciers, it means the ice was not always there! Were the cave peoples of those days guilty of destroying the wetlands and burning coal back then too?pic.twitter.com/dRB6L3SZOs
