This is a project I've been working on for a while. Here's why I think (and the Mayor, and the DA, and SFPD think) this initiative can help.https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2021/10/19/san-francisco-auto-burglary-fencing-reward-break-ins/ …

I have been working with all stakeholders: SFPD, DAs office, biz community, etc. It is a lengthy process. First you have to get the info, then you have to build the case with an investigation, then arrests, then prosecution and trial. Good info saves time, and money.

What happened to detectives? I thought we had a police department to find information and a DA who is supposed to prosecute? Why do you need to reinvent the wheel here?

I'm not reinventing detective work, I'm hoping to amplify and accelerate it. Why are you opposed to making the process faster and more efficient?
