Something that I think has been a little lost in the conversation lately: the biggest victims aren't drugstores... the biggest victims in aggregate are working families in SF who don't have money or time to repair smashed windows, replace lost phones, or stolen bikes.

But eventually we were able to sort through those questions, and we were able to get everyone on board. We are all united on this issue, because we all want a better City for the people who live here.

We *can* make progress on our most difficult issues.
@LondonBreed launched the tourism deployment task force (you can see it on the slide in the tweet above) and that has really helped a lot. Auto burglaries are down 34% this month! That's huge.Show this thread -
There are more projects in the works. I know people get down sometimes about our problems, but we aren't helpless. We can make things better. This is an incredible City, and I love living here. I love working on problems. It's fun!

look i think its an interesting idea im just not convinced any of us can do anything about this, crime happens because of wealth disparity, thats all there is to it as i see it
