We can’t take away his family’s grief, but we can listen to their calls: for justice against those who killed Tyre and for a serious examination of how this happened.
My heart is with Tyre Nichols’ family, who have had to endure the trauma of their loved one’s murder. I’m hurting along with everyone who has seen this horrific video, and especially thinking of those who are impacted by past trauma.
Today, I was sworn into office for my second term. In my Inaugural Address, I shared my North Star for the next four years — to make Kansas the best place in America to raise a family — and said that we must continue to act as One Kansas in order to get there.
I'm not usually one to tell my colleagues how to do their jobs, but when it impacts my ability to deliver for our community, I will speak up.
It’s time to stop the infighting and get to work. #KS03
Everyone in #KS03 deserves to have safe and clean drinking water.
Thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure law, we’re working to replace lead pipes right here in Kansas.
From community college to university to trade school, I’m fighting to expand access to education, so that everyone in #KS03 can have the opportunities they deserve.
I met with local law enforcement to learn what tools and resources #KS03 needs to combat the fentanyl crisis.
I took their insight straight to Washington, and am working across the aisle to pass legislation that will save lives.
I’m in Congress to protect your freedoms—not take them away. I’ll always fight to defend access to reproductive health care on all levels of government.
.@Alyssafarah honors Rep. @sharicedavids, who became one of the first two Native American women in the U.S. Congress and the very first openly LGBTQ+ Native American members of the House, as #TheView closes out its #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth celebration. http://abcn.ws/3tEqKdC
No one wants to drive on potholes all winter! The bipartisan infrastructure law that I championed is improving roads and bridges around the Kansas Third, and making your cold-weather commute safer.
#KS03 has felt the impacts of climate change, from severe winter storms to flooding to droughts. I’m working to protect our planet for future generations so that our grandkids can have clean air, clean water, and good jobs.
Feeling heartbroken for the families and loved ones of those lost to senseless violence in Colorado last night.
Again, we are seeing that angry rhetoric has real consequence. Everyone deserves to feel and be safe in their own skin.

I have been, and always will be, ready to work with anyone if it means progress for Kansas.
My name is Sharice Davids, and I would be proud to earn your vote.
Excited to welcome my friend, Deb Haaland, to Kansas this week as we close out my Moving Kansas Forward tour. She’s been by my side for some of the biggest moments of my life, and I’m looking forward to breaking more barriers together.
#KS03 is a community that wants sustainable, climate-friendly infrastructure and energy, so that future generations can have the same opportunities and resources. That’s what I’m fighting for.
Young voters are the future of our country.
I was happy to stop at my alma mater, JCCC, to connect with students and discuss ways we can move Kansas forward, together.
