    This screen grab is a bit better--you can see the higher gusts in the higher terrain, but a bit less down below near North Bend. A testament to how tricky it is for the models (and us) to forecast with such varied elevations around here!

    January heading out tomorrow the same way it's been most of the month: wet & gusty! Warm to boot. This will yank up the snow level, yank up the rivers, and give us a chance for more mud or snow slides thanks to the saturated soil & soon-to-be-soggy snow pack.

    Some thick fog in parts of the South Sound. We *may* get enough of a breeze going by dawn to knock if out of the way for the morning commute, but it will be close. Our meteorologist will let you know if we have a 'Weather Warn' scenario for the drive!

    This 🌧️ January pattern? It's not going anywhere. Only 2 more days left to go, so might as well keep the rain coming. Models are projecting another inch+ for the metro area, and 3-4" near the coast. As we warm Friday, the rising snow level will lead to rising rivers, too.
