    . I’ve never been all in on a carbon tax per se. But, it certainly is the cleanest way to clear the Byrd rule in a reconciliation package. What’s more likely: 1) carbon tax; or 2) climate legislation made possible by threat of a carbon tax?

    I’ve spent the past five years sounding the alarm for Republicans on the urgent need to address climate change before it was “cool.” Note to Congressional Republicans: it’s cool now and it’s going to happen with or without you. Step up or get comfortable in the minority!

    IMHO this episode ranks in our top 5 all time. 2 reasons to listen: 1) demonstrates there are Republicans in key positions that are making thoughtful climate policy; 2) you will learn a lot about the actual ins and outs of FERCs key orders, decision making processes and more

    Just finished recording an in-depth interview with and co-hosts and . I have to say I think it was one of our best interviews of the year. Wonky, but also big picture. Candid and informative. Coming to Thursday AM.

    Members of Congress perpetually complain about executive overreach or misinterpretation of statutes, yet as a constitutional matter they hold all the control and refuse to band together to exercise it and protect the institution.

    On this week makes an impt point similar to the week earlier: Congress (and State legislatures) need to take their responsibility and power back from the Executive and deliver unambiguous through the legislative process.
