I'll thread the three Alvin ads, in order. This first one opened Warnock's runoff ad campaign. It aimed to inoculate him from the coming attacks — and Warnock team was surprised that it briefly aired unanswered. pic.twitter.com/VZajR0G0EF https://nytimes.com/2021/01/23/us/politics/raphael-warnock-puppy.html …

The second Alvin ad was recorded 11/13 and released just ahead of Thanksgiving.
@hakeemjefferson described the scenery here as evoking a “white aesthetic” as the Warnock campaign sought to blunt Loeffler's attacks. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/23/us/politics/raphael-warnock-puppy.html …pic.twitter.com/CGVz6XTI8pShow this thread -
After 2nd Alvin ad, the campaign asked an open-ended q about Warnock in poll. "Dog" "Puppy" and "poop" all popped in word cloud. "Crazy," said the pollster. The airwaves were saturated. But Alvin had broke through. "Dog" is bigger than "Democrat." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/23/us/politics/raphael-warnock-puppy.html …pic.twitter.com/3nlPxq0IIk

The 3rd Alvin ad ran as part of GOTV push. "What started out as a campaign has turned into a movement," Warnock says in it, as dogs of other breeds join Alvin. "With supporters of all kinds" A message about more than dogs. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/23/us/politics/raphael-warnock-puppy.html …pic.twitter.com/fXLE9icffH
