    Today, two more of our member retirees. Our youngest learners at Pearson Early Learning Center had the services of both Joan Keane and Julie Sharpe, who we are excited to welcome to retirement. Thank you again, Joan and Julie, for helping all our students get a great start!

    The SEA is grateful for a robust conversation about the many moving parts to keeping our students, families, staff, and community as safe as possible. Please do keep in mind, that our elementary and early childhood schools and staff are not affected by this change.

    Tonight, the Shakopee School Board unanimously voted that SECONDARY IHD programs will delay the return to full-time in-person learning to Tuesday, April 20th. They voted to allow for Fri, April 16th, and Mon, April 19th to be planning days for secondary teachers to transition.

    Our teachers have gone above and beyond serving our students during the COVID-19 pandemic - remotely, hybrid, and in-person. If they contract COVID-19, they deserve workers’ compensation.

    The whole teaching online thing definitely has its perks and its drawbacks... Anna Bonderson (High School Math)—or, rather, her cat—shows us both simultaneously. I wonder if Anna needed that notepad? Another week in the books. Great work!
