@ShaharzadAkbar Interestingly, EVAW was not mentioned in today's court session? Neither was rape, but adultery (zina, not tajaus-e gensi?)
@ChristineRoehrs EVAW law took a hit after d discussion in parliament n 2013. Although ratified by d president, some courts ignore it.

@ChristineRoehrs it had and has many flaws, but most modifications suggested by some MPs would have limited its mandate to protect women.
