yes this is what is so important in the @AfghanistanIHRC's work: going to the area, knocking on doors and speaking to people to report the truth from the ground up.
Also, we do conduct our own investigation & shed light on truth which is important specially when contradictory reports ie civ cas in Helmand market last year, Takhar, most recently Khost, and more. But UN investigations can & do happen where there r also active NHRIs/commissions
There is no such a way which could describe , "Hazaras situation more critical than other ethnic groups" it's so wrong it's one Afghanistan and one nation. Groups should never be mentioned. Shame on @hrw to appoint people who are biased.
Hi Shaharzad, I hope you’re well. I asked AIHRC as I’ve seen AIHRC statements condemn attacks, call for others to investigate & reports with CIVCAS. Not any investigations. No one I know has. It’s my job as a journalist to ask.That said, I look forward to an investigation on this
When AIHRC calls for investigation, it is often for criminal investigation which is not our mandate. It is police (or security institutions broadly) and then Attorney General’s Office’s mandate. We ask for it because with no investigation, no justice or accountability.
