In 10 days there is a conference about the future of Afg, in Turkey. No one, not @ARG_AFG, not @DrabdullahCE, not UN, not @US4AfghanPeace, not the co-hosts, not Taliban are telling the Afghan public about the agenda, the intended outcome & mechanism/s for public input.
The consultations seem to be happening mainly with male political leaders. There is as of now no clarity on the role of the two negotiation teams. No defined role in the main event for @AfghanistanIHRC, civil society & victims
Having a conference/gathering of just male political elite is not a formula for success. Having low levels of women’s participation is not acceptable. Having a side event for civil society & women’s movement but no participation/role in the main event is not good enough.
