The consultations seem to be happening mainly with male political leaders. There is as of now no clarity on the role of the two negotiation teams. No defined role in the main event for @AfghanistanIHRC, civil society & victims

In 10 days there is a conference about the future of Afg, in Turkey. No one, not @ARG_AFG, not @DrabdullahCE, not UN, not @US4AfghanPeace, not the co-hosts, not Taliban are telling the Afghan public about the agenda, the intended outcome & mechanism/s for public input.

Having a conference/gathering of just male political elite is not a formula for success. Having low levels of women’s participation is not acceptable. Having a side event for civil society & women’s movement but no participation/role in the main event is not good enough.

Intended outcome? How does that happen even before the talks are midway through? Public input? Then what are representatives there for in the first place? We’re females part of any military or militia force fighting the Taliban or warlords against anarchy? No.

If the women weren’t part of the war fighting anarchy and pseudo-theocratic terrorism, what makes them privileged to be part of the peace process? Do males complain of not having all the electricity from the grid station after power lines are cut off by terrorists?
