@DrSimasamar asked the Loya Jirga why the warlords of the 1992-6 mujahedeen war were given prominence when their fighting had destroyed Kabul & killed tens of thousands. She was criticised by govt/US & the warlords were given front row seats. Resurgence or inevitable? -
It feels like a return to the 1990s with a 2021 twist - militias plus corruption, not serious about fighting the Taleban, but apparently serious about making money.
