News of targeted attacks on activists, gov officials, religious scholars & other civilians every day. This has created an environment of anxiety & fear, at the time when we most need to engage, mobilize, raise our voices & shape our peace process. Extremely worrying .
Gov must investigate, share findings & hold perpetrators to account. More should be done 4 prevention. Taliban should publicly denounce ALL attacks on civilians & targeted attacks. Both sides have d responsibility to create a conducive environment 4 public engagement around peace
The question is that why gov doesn’t act to prevent such attacks? What makes the gov forces to fight against the brutality?
