The US sold its 2001 invasion of Afghanistan as a duty to rescue oppressed Afghan women. Now, as the US rushed for a deal to get itself out of Afghanistan, Afghan women are at increasing risk again—and the US shows little sign of caring.https://nyti.ms/2HCAXSH

I’m so fed up with people attacking anyone who asks questions about the peace process. “What? Do you want endless war?” No one wants endless war. And some Afghan feminists who earlier opposed talks with the Taliban now seem resigned to them.

No one should be ostracized for asking questions, sharing concerns or pushing for an inclusive process. Everyone wants an end to bloodshed. The question is will a rushed, non-inclusive process lead to that end? And what will post peace gov look like? Valid questions
