The idea of interim government frightens those in power. For Afghans, Peace is the priority, not keeping you guys in power.

Not that I advocate 4 interim gov, I cannot imagine the prospect of a settlement without some form of interim arrangement with or without Taliban. It is hard 2 imagine Taliban would want 2 cease violence & get integrated in the current order. Peace itself can be very legitimizing

This still doesn’t respond to any of the concerns except perhaps concerns of Taliban. What about all other constituencies? Interim arrangements vary vastly depending on the mandate, term, authority, composition, oversight and sequencing.

"Outside our constitutional order" but the Chief Executive's entire role and office are already outside the constitutional order, governors and police chiefs refuse to step down challenging the gov's authority. We have experience in such things, sadly

The NUG violated d structural aspect of cinstitution, true, but its mandate as gov was defined by constit. Forming an interim gov will shake d foundation of constit, i.e rights, with inclusion f a group that doesn’t consider itself a part of d constitutional order.

Taliban must be part of any gov(interim or any other type) to make a peace possible including changing constitution as it may requires. Decision in peace agreement are always decided by few and then put to the public vote to seek peoples opinion. That's how we make our future ..
-
They must be. This is not about excluding them. It is about questions like if we revise d constitution, would it be through a constitutional mechanism?
