The idea of interim government frightens those in power. For Afghans, Peace is the priority, not keeping you guys in power.

If you pare it down to a couple of questions, I could meditate on some answers :-)

The questions are to meant to reflect some key concerns. Anyone who is advocating for interim gov, should take these concerns in consideration in their proposal & go beyond just throwing the term around.

The interim gov will not be different from Mujahedin gov established in pakistan which later took oath in Kabul and destroyed every thing - started blood bath. NO gov, no peace talks will work till Taliban like Jihadists are taking order from Epicentre of Terrorim Pakistan

I guess my question is, where did the national unity government get its legitimacy from? what were its basis? and who decided on its mandate and composition? How would this be any different?
-
Good questions. What happened with National Unity Gov shud not happen again. D concern is greater dis time because dis “interim government” will be mandated 2 chart our path 2 future, including discussions of revising constituion. Far greater scope f authority & impact on future

No basis. I believe it's another concession to the TBN, who do not want to negotiate with the NUG. And the possibility of “Intra-Afghan” talks (without NUG) is formation of an interim administration.

So mandate and term don’t matter 4 instance? Or inclusivity? Imagine an interim gov with a term of 2-3 years, mandate of changing the constitution, composition of only old, male politicians from certain factions, no civil society voice, no oversight. Doesn’t inspire hope.
