Things I learned in the past 12 hours: There are a billion different Scooby-Doo continuities and every single one has a different origin story for Scooby Snacks. Well my canonical version is "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo" so y'all can shut up about the other ones

According to A Pup Named Scooby Doo, the treats were named after Scooby, but I think in the 2005 series, Scooby Snacks is this whole international business because I think they go to a Scooby Snack store in Japan at some point.

I mean, that's what I thought too. I wouldn't be shocked if they had saved some dog food factory or something, and they were like, "Scooby, huh?" It's not that far fetched in the face of a talking dog, but I'm willing to accept the new concept too.
