I wanna make a rant about the e-begging situation on YouTube fueled by @Real_LastGamer. E-begging in my opinion is the wrong term, it should be called e-greedy. It's not real begging but it definitely is greedy. Especially in the gaming community on YouTube.
First of all, @TeamYouTube gives you the platform to host your videos without much hassle or risk. They cover the insane costs which come with running and maintaining the network. Without this platform, you probably not even had a fraction of the views you are getting today.

Saying you share ad revenue with them is a bit silly, they are not obligated to do this. This is merely a thing to keep you motivated to make content. Most of the gaming YouTubers got additional ways to profit out of YouTube.

To name some. (P)review units, Patreon, Merchandise and Sponsoring. If someone calls them out (not even by name), they go in full defense mode. It seems that they seem entitled to all the benefits this comes with. Some are even so crazy to put PO box adresses in their bio.

To make it clear, YOU ARE NOT OBLIGED TO MAKE VIDEOS. It's your own choice. Yes, some of you put a lot of time and effort in making videos, but you can also outsource certain parts, like editing or slow things down for example.

I'm also quite sure if
@TeamYouTube stops monitizing videos someway or somehow, a lot will quit with making videos. Like i said, most of you even got other ways to make money. But for some of you it never seems to get enough.Show this thread -
My advice: be happy with the viewer base you got out of YouTube and be thankful to them for even sharing their ad revenue. One thing is clear for me now, i will NEVER send anyone anything to a PO box nor will i become a Patreon to one of you.

I do really appreciate the content all of you make, but the video of
@Real_LastGamer really opened up my eyes to how greedy some of you guys are. Rant over.Show this thread
