I think it was older than my dad, so pre-Depression. I hope the guy restores it properly, I remember my dad playing it every now and again and it sounded SO COOL.

It had a really interesting bit of history - originally my grandmother on my father's side got it by collecting coupons from Mother's Oats cereal. That's right, the thing was a cereal premium, and way better than any toy you've found in a box of cereal

I'm still kind of sad though because it was one of the pieces I wanted to keep for myself - I couldn't afford to move it though, nor could I afford to restore it, so I had to kind of let that go

My brother got rid of my parent's old pump organ - it was a beautiful, beautiful instrument but it needed to be restored. He found a nice guy who collects old musical instruments and was keenly interested in restoring it, which I'm really happy about
