Now that you have admitted you sent my draft to 6 weeks ago, I will go through every instance besides the title where my work was cheaply misappropriated. Some of the intellectual theft wasn't even from the article but the DRAFT I sent to

The owner of , , blocked me as I was tweeting this thread, demonstrating for anyone willing to see for themselves 12 instances of unaccredited appropriations not just from my article that was published, but the DRAFT I sent to to them 6 weeks ago.

Foreign writers on censor Libyans, yet rely on Libyan expertise which typically goes unacknowledged for career promotion. blocked me for correcting his inaccurate soundbites. The below shows clear editorial breach by him & editors . Shame.

There are many accomplished Libyans willing&capable of contributing, but too often their work is appropriated by third parties and used for ulterior reasons.

We need to have a discussion abt representation of voices&perspectives. There are few Libyan contributors in the media, despite Libya’s rising significance. Who better explains Libya’s complexities than a Libyan? They’re too often dismissed by those who profit from division

Sad to hear about 's passing. She was a wonderful soul and an incredibly original Libyan-Canadian artist. Arwa's approach was to use Islamic motifs and juxtapose them with her Western credentials, reflecting on identity. We will miss her humility and great talent.

Saddened to learn of the tragic passing of a talented Libyan-Canadian artist, Arwa Abouon. Another beacon of hope gone too soon, Arwa always wanted to support the Libyan art community & her beloved country . انا لله و انا اليه راجعون
