Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

Oh. Okay this is actually very good. No financial incentives for Claim Farms anymore means less videos having their revenue stolen for less than a few seconds of song usage. Yes, would've liked this to be the case a while ago, but anything is better than nothing. Thank you, YT.

Also sucks that this doesn't work retroactively (any past claims that resulted in revenue going to the claimant can't be rescinded under this new policy it seems), but at least we can have security going forward. I'd have that than none at all.
