State cuts to WDH are going to mean ever further losses bc of lost federal matching dollars. As Nick reported, cuts have the effect of costing even more in state money down the road. What is the long game? What do we want the state to look like in five, 10 years?
There isn't a long game. If there was one, the state wouldn't be in this predicament. Same legislators who couldn't resolve this 10 years ago aren't going to do it now either.
