NOTE: China alerted the World Health Organization of an odd flu on December 31, under 48 hours after Trump spoke to Putin. Russia borders China, has a special relationship with China, has excellent sources in China... when will we learn if Trump and Putin discussed *coronavirus*?
12/29: Putin calls Trump unexpectedly. 12/30 (NYT): "Health authorities [in Wuhan] were treating dozens of cases [of an unknown virus]...[as] an emergency notice to city hospitals was shared on social media...triggering some public panic." They could be unrelated. We don't know.
But there's more. On 12/23, hours before the outbreak in Wuhan, Putin and Xi announced an unprecedented partnership on all things science-related—designating 2020 a year of Russia-Chinese partnership. Again, maybe not. I don't know. My point is, such questions must be asked, now that we know that within 2 or 3 weeks of the Trump-Putin call—whose content remains unclear and which no one heard—Trump inexplicably rejected DHHS *and* US intelligence warnings about the coronavirus.
