PS/ We've been told a thousand times that this was a "100% partisan" impeachment—though the GOP had to toss Amash from its caucus to ensure that that'd be the case. But either way, if a GOP senator votes to convict on even 1 article, how do you call the impeachment 100% partisan?

I am guessing that part of Mcconnell's big bargain, is the chance for several of the Rs to vote for removal, no consequence if you need to have 67. Though tRUmp might have other plans.

Perhaps Collins will vote to convict, but I think it’s too late for her. She’s going down come November, at least that’s my take.

Can we *please* stop calling it an impeachment “trial”? A trial has witnesses. Lawyers/prosecutors only make open/close arguments. You can call it an *inquiry* if you like, but “trial”????? NO.
-
Not even an inquiry - more like a debate.
