Sesame Workshop mourns the passing of Emilio Delgado, known the world over for his role as Luis on Sesame Street. A beloved member of the Sesame family for over 50 years, his warmth and humor invited children to share a friendship that has echoed through generations.

rip emillio may god take you in his embrace and to the family I grew up with him in the 70’s I was born in 73 emillo or luis I knew him as on the show was on my tv teaching me things like letters and numbers and how to make sentences day in day out for years I am heartbroken 💔
My fave human on the series as a kid. What a life and contribution; rest in peace sir ✨
