My guidelines for code review: If a linter can deal with it don't say it, If a workaround has been found to an existing issue, recognize its a clever workaround, do not call it hacky, and discuss if it would be worthwhile finding a more stable solution and, mostly just be nice!

Our NN is initially in Python for rapid iteration, then converted to C++/C/raw metal driver code for speed (important!). Also, tons of C++/C engineers needed for vehicle control & entire rest of car. Educational background is irrelevant, but all must pass hardcore coding test.

Some infosec knowledge is useful for months (knowledge of a given campaign), other knowledge, for years, (TTPs), other knowledge, for decades (the halting problem). Here's a "Pyramid of Pain" (cc/ ) inspired model of knowledge in cyber I find useful for myself.

🙋‍♂️ How do ELF relocations work? Previously, we've found one way a position-independent executable finds its data: RIP-relative addressing. Now, we discuss *another way*: by straight up modifying the executable section, according to the relocation table!

Is there an actual function I can call to find out what errno is when dealing with libc on Linux, or do I have to do icky, presumptive data access that somehow hooks up correctly to a thread-local value and etc?

Friday (theoretical) physics fun: is spacetime discrete or not? Normally we assume space is infinitely divisible just like the real numbers: between two points there will always be at least one more point. It is not obvious this has to be true. Matter turned out to be atoms.

The way to understand an OoO core is like statistical mechanics. There are many tiny moving parts whose individual behavior is highly complex and often irregular but whose aggregate behavior is much simpler and fairly predictable.

So what should they have done? They should have followed what the military calls a "OODA" loop: Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. Take a break, carefully Observe the situation, get Oriented as to who can actually do what, Decide how to proceed *without making things worse*, then Act.

Going fully remote was nice, but the real benefit was in going fully asynchronous. Here are a list of the benefits we've seen at : A thread 👇🏽

1\ They extorted millions without ever breaching a single system. They being the romancebots unleashed online in 2026. They passed for lovable people, could chat late into the night, could generate selfies and short videos, and there were millions of them.

1\ I've written a little compiler to ship ML models as standalone Yara rules, and done proof of concept detectors for Macho-O, RTF files, and powershell scripts. So far I have decision trees, random forests, and logistic regression (LR) working.

1\ Surprisingly, you could build a very mediocre PE malware detector with a single PE feature: the PE compile timestamp. In fact, I built a little random forest detector that uses only the timestamp as its feature that gets 62% detection on previously unseen malware at a 1% FPR.

Graphics twitter, can anybody point me in the direction of generating the intersecting shape of two 2D shapes? I don't mean just detecting if two shapes intersect, but generating the intersection in the sense of constructive solid geometry.

Computing with normal forms gets more complicated when you have multivariate polynomials but there's algorithms for it. Not to send you down a rabbit hole but this is just intro book:
