    Busy morning at the Lammas centre in Sutton talking about for specifically the 3 best ways to avoid an infection 1. Wash your hands 2. Drink lots of water 3.Brush your teeth. Let’s help stop admission to and help stop sepsis

    Think Sepsis does not mean It is Sepsis and you must treat for Sepsis Patient yesterday about to be given 2 iv antibiotics because WBC 20 lactate 5 after major blood loss from bleeding from leg Think Sepsis includes deciding it definitely isn’t Sepsis (then still go back)

    Seeing the NHS from the “other side” - my Dad’s emergency admission to his local hospital. Not enough characters to describe this. There are emojis & gifs though 🙄😡🤬🤦‍♀️🤭🤔🤷‍♀️😲😴😱🙅🏼‍♀️☹️🙄 Sad that NHS care is so variable

    This has been such a great project to work on with . The gaps in healthcare for people with a -disability are a dark shadow over our society

    We're really proud that a video we created with students at to help people recognise the signs of sepsis in a person with a learning disability has been included in the report published today! You can watch it here:

    I’ve been a nurse for 31 years & seen the role evolve - I think I can claim to love for this tweet 👏🏻😍

    I am going to describe an absolutely mainstream patient scenario for any nurse working on any geriatric or general/acute med ward round the country to illustrate a point. Just like nurses i & other NHS drs work with daily as close colleagues. I'll tell you why at the thread-end

    Reminder of the recent warming on fluoroquinolones "-floxacins" - connective tissue disorders seen in some patients. Keep an eye out for the updated microbiology guidelines to advise where still appropriate. Are they the most appropriate
