Why present any poster/talk at conferences if not willing to share it widely?! Let us know if you have any questions or feedbacks.

Latest pre-print from us (inc. ), on a simple question. How do your inferences about neural activity, correlations, and coding depend on your choice of using the raw calcium time-series or deconvolving the spike-events from them? A thread...

How does the neural compass anchor to visual cues? Two amazing-looking new fruit fly studies show experience-dependent plasticity in how visual cells map onto compass neurons & their memory capacity. Fischer et al: Kim et al:

  11. Thanks to all who shared this. I would like to stress that while program of is a nice and timely initiative, it is purely symbolic. It by no means compensated for physical attendance. I had no option for live streaming or Q/A and got 0 contacts!

  12. But why do you think they should apply to attend when they know that they won't have a chance? was a nice symbolic effort to show solidarity but we all know that this is as far ar it can reach. Nothing can replace the real participation.

  13. So many times I heard this question: "but how many are you?" at least as an Iranian I can say we are a sizeable minority, some in the US, some in Europe, some back in the country. I see the names of neuroscientists from Iran all the time, or they are just next to me at work!

(1/3) Dear fellow science tweeters, I was wondering if you could help with some research I'm doing for an initiative where we are interested in diversity in academic hire (for junior faculty, such as tenure-track) and funding.

After over a year of hard work, we have finally released stable packages and written a preprint for SpikeInterface! We hope to improve the accessibility, reliability, and reproducibility of spike sorting. We also found some unexpected results about modern spikes sorters... 1/5
