One critically important investment in this year’s appropriations bill—$380 million for election security technology grants to help states to fortify voting systems. This is an important step in securing our elections against foreign interferencehttps://twitter.com/MartinHeinrich/status/977213486790053888 …

Our elections are still vulnerable to foreign attacks. That’s why I’ve called for more support for states to update their equipment. The $380 million for state election security improvements in #Omnibus is good first step. https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/deterring-our-adversaries-senators-call-for-immediate-steps-to-protect-elections/2018/03/20/2a3b9dd8-2c59-11e8-b0b0-f706877db618_story.html?utm_term=.2d4f63ceca7a …

Ya know what would secure our elections WITHOUT costing millions? Voter ID from our now required Real IDs.

All that money is only a good thing if it's spent on secure paper ballots. Otherwise, it's just more nesting material for the ultra rich, unscrupulous owners of voting machine companies looking to make a dollar selling hackable machines, then getting money from the hackers too.
