Let’s be clear: Maria was a tragedy. And the ensuing response—or lack thereof—was a travesty. 365 days later, our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico are STILL suffering on parts of the island. They need our full support.https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2018/national/a-year-after-hurricane-maria-a-puerto-rican-town-is-still-in-upheaval/?utm_term=.7a4a0c94eb3d …

I am so glad you are one of my Senators, now that we have returned to New Mexico. I hope that your thoughts and concerns about the situation in Puerto Rico are also being manifested in the form of committee investigations and proposed legislation. We need both. Now. Or January.

My husband’s relatives lost their home on the island during Maria. Thank you Senator for keeping Puerto Rico and their recovery in the news. Both you and Senator Martin Heinrich (who I met at the Pie Town festival a few weeks ago) are AWESOME

Before Maria, the government had long failed Puerto Rico. The preexisting infrastructure was horrible, and teams from the States weren't prepared to deal with the 3rd-world utilities.
@SenatorTomUdall's Senate was more complicit than Trump.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
