Unless you change the runway directions the approach & departure patterns are not going to change too much. That always leaves some neighborhoods in the pattern. This pretty much is a no win situation for someone. It comes down to who gives you the most cash/donations.

I live about 10 miles North of Sky Harbor- for the most part, aircraft are at altitude and noise is minimal However the private jets lining up for scottsdale can be loud as heck- so how about the "rich folk" alter their flightpaths
