I rarely hear anyone mention the fact that Putin speaks English fluently. He has no need for a translator. Yet, he uses one as witness. Now it's his interpreter vs. ours. Should be interesting. I posted several weeks ago that he should NEVER be allowed in a room alone with Putin.

He doesnt speak English fluently. He speaks German fluently
-
He probably speaks Engish 100times better than Trump does Russian...
-
Putin speaks English better than Trump.
-
I doubt very much that Putin would confuse would and wouldn't.. Innocent mistake and innocuous use of the double negative, detected promptly by an expert panel of the best and brightest advisors a mere 24 hours later.. <Claps>

45 did this in complete duress, look at his body language, anytime he’s in a corner he crosses arms, facial expressions, stumbles on words. He doesn’t believe a word of it. When it’s something he believes the words flow. Listen to presser and his inflections on this sentence.

Dear Senator, Putin speaks good English okay and all that was said are on records. Stop the hate and look for better things to do for your constituency.
-
Wrong. There WERE no records of their “secret” conversation. Neither Putin nor Trump are trustworthy narrators. And I doubt the Russian translator is at liberty to divulge the truth.
-
Think trump had them sign a NON DISCLOSURE??
-
Perhaps it was David Dennison!?

They will claim they can't speak to private conversations with him or executive privilege. We will never know.....
#TerroristTraitorTrump The interpreters have probably been threatened by KGB Putin -
It's called a code of ethics and any interpreter who blatantly violates it can expect to never work as an interpreter again. (At least that's how it worked when I was an interpreter for the Deaf, on a MUCH lower level than this.)
-
Does this mean they are bound by ethics to share what went on or to remain silent. I only ask because I can see an ethical argument for both, considering what we’re dealing with hear. Real question, no sarcasm.
-
In my opinion, it's like an NDA. With appropriate authorization, under some special circumstances the interpreter can speak about the contents of the meeting.
-
I think this qualifies as special circumstances. Potential treason of a sitting president. Yeah.
-
In this case, the interpreter will likely get so much unwanted attention/exposure regardless of what they do. Some may forgive if they wait until compelled by subpoena - but again, most of the people wanting them to talk aren't potential employers.
-
I was kind of thinking that there might have to be a subpoena before she could say anything. There’s no telling what measures the Donald has taken to keep her silent, along with the CoC you mentioned. Pay offs, an actual NDA, or even threats. I hope they do subpoena her.
-
I hope they keep her alive and find another way to get the info. :-/ (I was just hearing the Russian side is talking about several verbal agreements made, none of which ppl here can identify/expand upon. ?! )
