Those who have served our nation in uniform deserve our eternal gratitude. This year, RI took many steps to demonstrate our appreciation, including eliminating taxes on military pensions and exempting veterans from pet adoption fees. To everyone who made this possible, thank you.

Eliminating taxes on veterans' pensions is one reason to celebrate the budget signed into law today. It also ends the car tax, sends child tax rebates to parents, and expands assistance to seniors, while making historic investments in schools, housing, the environment & more.
