Gary will be remembered as an icon of the industry who set the bar for journalists in Las Vegas and elsewhere for decades to come. I was honored to know and work with Gary over many years and join our community in mourning his passing.

Gary Waddell was a legend of Las Vegas media and a truly superb journalist. His decades on the air established him among the most trusted and respected broadcasters and journalists in Nevada’s history.

I spoke to Mike just last week and am grateful for the opportunity to stay in touch with him and remain friends. Landra and I offer our condolences to Diana and his family.

We may have represented different political parties and philosophies, but partisanship never mattered much to Mike Enzi. It never got in the way of us working together on important issues and it certainly never got in the way of our friendship.

Mike Enzi was the epitome of what a United States Senator should be. He cared deeply for our country, fought passionately for what he believed in and, above all, was a good and decent man.

It is with humility that I express my appreciation for the recognition today. I would like to express my deep gratitude to Commissioner Segerblom, the entire Clark County Commission, and the many others who have played a part in this renaming.

Nominating @RepDebHaaland as Interior Secretary is a historic choice and I know she will protect the heritage of our great public lands. I'm grateful that President-elect @JoeBiden is choosing an outstanding cabinet that reflects our values.

Nevada is a public lands state. Over 80% of the state is owned by the Federal Government, so the Secretary of the Interior has always been important to Nevada.

I commend President-elect @JoeBiden for nominating Native American @RepDebHaaland to lead the DOI. She's been an outstanding congresswoman and will be an excellent Secretary of the Interior.

The Biden-Harris Administration is shaping up to be an incredible team of brilliant and experienced leaders. I applaud President-elect @joebiden's latest choices to nominate @NeeraTanden to lead the OMB and assemble the first all-female White House comms team. Congrats, Neera!
