  6. President Bush was one of the finest leaders I’ve had the privilege of knowing and working with. He was both pragmatic and gracious. I will never forget the handwritten letters he wrote me when I did something he deemed worthy of a few generous words.

  14. If anyone says they have the answers, they’re fooling themselves. We don’t know the answers but we have plenty of evidence to support asking the questions. This is about science and national security. If America doesn’t take the lead in answering these questions, others will.
