Thank you for your concern for the "well being" of women, now kindly STFU and STFD. I lost my virginity to a rape just like this one at a party when i was 17. I've never told anyone except my therapist. But if they SOB was about to become a supreme court justice, ya I'm talking.
My incident was 40 years ago and I remember it like yesterday. I never told anyone because he was a "respected and well liked" married teacher. This "boys will be boys" BS doesn't cut it. There are many like me that never came forward because of people like you.
You're a disgusting excuse for a human being @SenatorNewmanMN

I see this tweet is new, but funny how no likes and no retweets it has. Is it because this is no laughing matter? It's time to due the due diligence this senate is here to do. And that means not attacking sexual assaulted and start asking questions of the assailant. Prick!
@SenatorNewmanMN says women being disbelieved is the fault of other women. Got it.
And he also thinks "Teenagers!" is a good response *if the allegations ARE true*. Which of these is a more horrifying thing for a legislator to say? You, the reader decide!
I’m sure your constituents will be interested to know that you don’t consider holding a girl down and covering her screams with your hand a compelling or legitimate claim. It happens all the time, am I right?
If you put your hand over a girls mouth to muffle her screams while turning up the music and pinning her down while you try to rip her clothes off, that’s attempted rape. If you did this as a teenager, that’s still attempted rape.
Only a man would think that a 17 yo attempting forcible rape of a 15 yo is just "teenagers!" Your response is precisely why the vast majority of women who suffer sexual violence don't come forward.
They weren’t playing doctor, Senator Idiot.
